Ron A. Radke, 66, died June 7 at Cherry Village Nursing Home, Great Bend. He was born March 28, 1945, at Great Bend, the son of LaVerne F. and Beatrice C. (Hull) Radke. He married Jeanie Becker Sept. 11, 1965, at McPherson. A lifetime Great Bend resident, he was owner and operator of Discount Trading.
Mr. Radke served in the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, NRA, NBRSA, IHMSA, NRCA and Sunflower Rod and Custom Association. He was a car builder, gunsmith, and certified golf club maker.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; one daughter, Lori Bieberle and husband Greg of Phoenix, Ariz.; one sister, Sharon Kubitscheck and husband Larry of Great Bend; and one granddaughter, Ashley Bieberle
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bryant Funeral Home in Great Bend, with the Rev. Tom Sheldon officiating. Interment will be at the Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Hospice Care of Kansas, in care of the funeral home.
