GREAT BEND — Ronald Anthony Jasper, 51, passed away November 25, 2019, at his home in Great Bend. He was born on January 23, 1968, in Ellinwood to Thomas and Viona (Huschka) Jasper.
A lifetime Barton county resident, Ronald worked for CPI as a computer programmer. He enjoyed carpentry, working on anything electrical, computer programming and was skilled at setting up switchboards for telemarketing companies. His interests included Dungeons and Dragons, Star Trek, Star Wars, the Kansas City Chiefs and participating in fantasy football leagues.
Survivors include, his mother, Viona Harris of El Dorado; his wife, Marlene Dewey of the home; one brother, Mark Jasper and wife Nicki of St. John; two sisters, Donna Robinson and husband Tom of Lucas and Crystal Jasper of Wichita; grandmother, Mary Jasper of Burlington; one uncle, Steve Huschka of Martell, Neb.; three sisters-in-law, Janis Chase and husband Frank, Catherine Horner and husband Allan and Vivian Watkins; one brother-in-law, Jeff Dewey; and four nephews and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Jasper; grandparents, Ray and Isabel Huschka and Ed Jasper; and uncle, Jerry Jasper.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. A Rosary will be held at 10 a.m. and Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 12, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ellinwood, with Father Terrance Klein presiding. Inurnment will be in Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery, Ellinwood. Memorials are suggested to the Golden Belt Humane Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
