Ronald Keith Wagoner, 78, passed away January 23, 2022, at Banner Baywood Medical Center, Mesa, Arizona. He was born November 27, 1943, in Quinter, Kansas to Sylvester & Genevieve (Linneberger) Wagoner. He married Bernita Zerr November 27, 1965, in Park, Kansas. 

Ronald served in the Army National Guard from 1963 to 1972. He was a member of the American Legion Post #180 and Knights of Columbus Council #892 both of Great Bend. Ronald worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation as an Engineering Aide from August 1953 to June 1978. He then started working for Venture Corporation in 1978 and retired as Executive Vice President and Estimator in 2009. He served on the Board of Directors of the Kansas Asphalt Pavement Association from 2003 to 2008. After retiring, he and Bernita traveled and spent the winters in Mesa, Arizona. They enjoyed camping with the Good Sam Club and other family and friends. 

Survivors include, his wife, Bernita Wagoner of the home; a son, Rodney Wagoner and wife Alicia of Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Karen Seems and husband Kevin of Great Bend, Kan.; three brothers, Larry Wagoner and wife Sherry of Salina, Kan., Art Wagoner and wife Terry of Lincoln, Kan. and Kenny Wagoner and wife Karen of McPherson, Kan.; a sister, Sharon Gagnon of Grainfield, Kan.; and nine grandchildren, Chris Seems, Tyler Seems, Megan Wagner, Morgan Wagner, Riley Wagner, Brianna Wagoner, Nicole Wagoner, Ryan Wagoner and Brooke Wagoner. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Tamera Wagner; two brothers, Robert Wagoner and Norman Wagoner; and a brother in law, Marty Gagnon. 

Visitation will be held from 1 to 8 p.m., Monday, January 31, 2022, at Bryant Funeral Home, with Vigil service and Knights of Columbus rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Great Bend, Kansas. Interment will be in the Great Bend Cemetery North. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been designated to American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
