LITTLE RIVER — Ronald L. Grose, 68, died peacefully on Oct. 17, 2013 at his residence.
Born Sept. 18, 1945 in Ness City, he was the son of Fred and Martha Foos Grose.
In 1964, he graduated from Bazine High School. On May 31, 1975, he married Virginia Gerritzen in Great Bend. A resident of Little River since 1981, formerly of Bazine, he was employed for 23 years by the Santa Fe Railroad as a trackman. Mr. Grose was a member of the United Methodist Church in Little River.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Gerritzen, of the home; two sons, Ron and Samantha Grose, Wichita; and Don and Lindsey Grose, Rogers, Ark.; a daughter, LaDonna Jones, Spearville; a sister, Karen and Sherry Moore, Bazine; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Robert and Richard Grose.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Little River with the Rev. Joshua Johnson officiating. Burial will be at the Bean Memorial Cemetery in Little River. Friends may visit from 2 to 7 p.m. on Monday at Birzer Funeral home in Lyons. Memorials are suggested to the United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
