MACKSVILLE — Ronald Verne Seibert, 92, died Sept. 24, 2011 at Hospice House, Pratt.
He was born April 23, 1919 in rural Macksville, the son of John E. and Neva B. (Damerell) Seibert.
Verne was a farmer/stockman and life-long resident of the Macksville community. He graduated from Macksville High School in 1936. On June 9, 1940, he married Wilma June (Johnson) in rural Macksville, she preceded him in death on Nov. 13, 2009. Memberships include Macksville Christian Church, Farmer’s Co-op board, Farm Bureau board, 4-H Community Club leader and Macksville State Bank board of directors.
Survivors include three sons, Gale Seibert and wife Mary, Garden City; Gary Seibert and wife Nina, Macksville; Eugene Seibert and wife Judy, Lincoln, Neb; seven grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Seibert.
A funeral service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26 at the Macksville Christian Church, with Pastors Derek Brown and Byoung Lee presiding. Visitation is scheduled from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Minnis Chapel, Macksville, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in the Farmington Cemetery, Macksville.
