Rose H. Miller Wendtlandt 1916 - 2013

WILSON — Rose H. Miller Wendtlandt, 96, died Jan. 27, 2013 at Golden Living Center in Wilson.
Born Dec. 21, 1916 in Claflin, she was the daughter of Julius and Carrie Wendtlandt. In August 1938, she married Joseph Miller in Claflin. She grew up in Claflin and lived in California and North Dakota before retiring in 1977 in Claflin. She was a cosmetologist and an LPN.
Mrs. Wendtlandt was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Claflin.
Survivors include a daughter, Virginia M. Meier, Seattle, Wash.; two grandsons, Richard A. Meier II and Allan J. Meier, both of Seattle, Wash.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Barrett K. Miller in Sept. 1977; her husband, Joseph Miller in February 1968; and five sisters, Mary Ramsey, Caroline Gerritzen, Emma Penka, Pauline McLean and Agnes Arends.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Claflin Cemetery officiated by Father Mazouk. Friends may visit from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to noon on Friday at Foster Mortuary in Wilson. Memorials are suggested to the golden Living Center in care of the funeral home.
