Rosemary Potter 1924 - 2013

Rosemary Potter, 89, died Feb. 6 at St. Joseph’s Area Health Services, Park Rapids, Minn. She was born Jan. 13, 1924, at Hugo, Colo., the daughter of William G. and Odelia (Bethscheider) Weber. She married Duane Potter on Nov. 18, 1943, at Oakley. A Great Bend resident since 1944, coming from Hugo, Colo., she was a hostess for Great Bend Petroleum Club.
Mrs. Potter was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Altar Society.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons, Joe Potter and his wife Margaret of Great Bend, and Michael Potter and his wife Cindy of Olathe; two daughters, Kathleen Turgeon and her husband Bill of Akeley, Minn., and Jennifer Schartz and her husband Shannon of Great Bend; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Eugene Weber, Paul Weber, Gerald Weber and Marvin Weber; two sisters, Bernice Weber and Dorothy Fitzgerald; and three granddaughters, Suzanne Potter, Kristin Potter and Kimberly Faber.
Altar Society Rosary will be at 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at Bryant Funeral Home. Vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Great Bend. Interment will be at the Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Prince of Peace Parish or Kans for Kids or American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.
