HOISINGTON — Ruby M. Popp, 81, died Nov. 15, 2015, at home in Hoisington.  Born July 12, 1934 at Newton County, Ark., she was the daughter of James and Lena (Cline) Armer.
Ruby married Don Popp July 1, 1960, at El Reno, Okla. A long time Barton County resident, Ruby was a housewife and a seamstress, operating Ruby’s Custom Sewing. She had also previously owned and operated the Susank Café. Ruby was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, where she was active in women’s circle, and V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Don Popp, of the home; two sons, Greg Davidson and his wife Marla of Great Bend, and DeWayne Davidson of Great Bend; one daughter, Glendia Cloutier and her husband Brett of Clermont, Fla.; one sister, Vermalea Smith of Fayetteville, Ark.; son-in-law: J.P. Conrad of Burwell, Neb.; a step sister, Jane Spencer; half-siblings: Christa Wittlinger, Jeanie Dannebohm, Jodi Hime, Karen Wojak, Sharon Franz, Jack Armer, Dick Armer, Jim Armer, and Bill Armer; and 10 grandchildren: Conrad Unruh, Brenda Unruh, Kayci Comeau, Ryan Comeau, Carrie Davidson, Rebecca Davidson, Derek Davidson, Bruce Conrad, Jessica Goodwin, Evan Goodwin. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donita Conrad, a brother, Bobby Armer and by a half-sister, Pat Harden.
Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 18, Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Hoisington, officiated by Rev. Shelly G. Klingensmith, Rev. Richard Monson, and Rhonda Templing, P.M.A.
Prayer Service will be at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington. Interment will be at Hoisington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington. Memorial may be made to Golden Belt Home Health and Hospice or Emmanuel Lutheran Church, in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home.
