LARNED —— Ryan Patrick McGinness, 32, died July 27, at Hays.  Born Feb. 1, 1980 in Great Bend, he was the son of James J. Jr. and Sharon Elaine Lloyd May McGinness.  A lifetime area resident he was a Rig Operator for Professional Pulling at Hays.He was of the Catholic faith.  
He was a member of the SRCA of Great Bend, NHRA and also held a competition license to race motorcycles.
Survivors include his parents of Larned; a brother, Tim McGinness and wife Melissa; a sister, Michele Pfortmiller and husband Michael; two nieces and two nephews, all of Larned; his special friend Kristin Boker, Great Bend; best friend Bill Keenan, and aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned, with Father Warren Stecklein and Father Robert Schremmer presiding.  Vigil service will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned. .  Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and 9:00 am to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.  Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery.
