Larned – Sarah Mabelle Smith, 98, passed away March 29, 2018, Larned. Born May 17, 1919 in St. John, Kansas; daughter of John and Loella Martin.
She was a member of the Escue Chapel, CME Church, Larned; was a stewardess in the church, a missionary and a member of the Red Hat Society.
Married William Clayton Smith June 10, 1961, in Larned, Kansas; he died in 1989.
Survivors include: two sister–in–laws; Emma Bradley and Ella Towns both of Larned; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, and a half brother Leo Mills.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Damon Bradley and Pastor Cameron J. Moore presiding. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Burial in the Larned Cemetery, Larned, Kansas.
