PRATT — Sharon Faye Riner, age 84, beloved daughter, wife, mother, Nana, Nana the great, Aunt, Registered Nurse and homemaker, passed away on March 24, 2021 at the Grand Plains Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, Pratt, Kan. Born on Dec. 27, 1936 at Stafford, Kan., she was the daughter of Virgil Jacob and Geraldine Viola Mae (Metz) Hitz. She attended the Dominican School of Nursing in Great Bend, Kan., after high school graduation from Hudson High School in 1954. She worked as a Registered Nurse in Great Bend, Kan., Sterling, Kan., El Dorado, Kan., and Stafford, Kan., over the years, retiring in 1980.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Gene Riner; son, Cullen Gene Riner; and a brother, Sherrill Paul Hitz. Survivors include a son, Matthew Wade (Katrina) Riner, Pratt, Kan; a daughter, Paula Jean (Kevin) Hephner, Towanda, Kan.; 15 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren. 

Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Friday, March 26, 2021 at Trinity Community Church, Hudson, Kan., with Pastor Wade Russell presiding. Burial will follow in the Trinity Cemetery, Hudson, Kan. A reception will follow at the Hudson Community Center. Memorials may be given to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS  67576.
