Shirley Ann (Mawhirter) Aumiller, 78, passed away May 19, 2017, at Hutchinson Hospice in Hutchinson. She was born on July 1, 1938, in Stafford, the daughter of Kenneth H. and Ardena Florence (Eidson) Mawhirter. Shirley was a licensed CMA, graduate of Hudson High School in 1957 and a resident of Great Bend since 1981.
On May 6, 1962, she married Lynn Leon Aumiller Sr. at Radium. He survives.
Other survivors include four sons, Allen Aumiller of St. John, Kenneth Aumiller and Clarence Aumiller, both of Hope, and Lynn Aumiller Jr. of Great Bend; four sisters, Judy Tanner and Leanna Lutz, both of St. John, Janice Willinger of Hudson and Deanna Porter of Hutchinson; three brothers, Terry Mawhirter, St. John, Brent Mawhirter, Stafford, and Randall Mawhirter, Cimarron; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Lisa Lyne Gable and Brenda Breeden.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, at Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John, with Pastor Wade Russell presiding. Visitation will be from 9-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Minnis Chapel in St. John. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
