RUSSELL — Steven Bradley Reed, 54, of Russell, Kan., died on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021, at his home.
Steven was born on Oct. 12, 1966, in Wichita, Kan., the son of Thomas Milton and Keitha Ann (Morgan) Reed. He grew up in central Kansas, where he went on to work primarily in the oil and manufacturing industries. He moved to Russell in 1983, where he would remain for the next two decades. During this time, he was married and raised two children, Clinton and Katie. He later resided in Hoisington, Lindsborg, and Great Bend, eventually returning to Russell. He was in his element when he was in the garage working on a vehicle or camping and fishing at a nearby lake or river.
Surviving family include his children, Clinton Schuckman and Katie Reed, and their mother Cindy (Schuckman) Reed all of Russell, Kan.; brothers Scott Reed of Lewis, Kan., Stan Reed and wife Kelly of Great Bend, Kan., Henry Reed of Salina, Kan., Earl Reed and wife Melinda of Lake City, Tenn.; sister Stacy Lawrence and husband Randy of Great Bend, Kan.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Dole-Specter Conference Center at Fossil Creek Hotel and Suites in Russell, Kan. on Saturday, Feb. 6th, from 2-5 p.m. Friends and family are welcome to come and go as they please. Cremation has been decided on by the family.
