Steven Richard Fellers 1949 - 2024

Steve was born July 27, 1949 in Emporia, KS to Alvin and Billie Jean (Joles) Fellers. Steve has been a resident of Great Bend, KS since 1974. After battling health issues he passed away late Saturday morning January 13th at Great Bend hospital with family at his side. Steve was a selfless man who cared about his family deeply. He was a jack of all trades that had a tool and advice for every situation. He worked many jobs; oil field tool pusher, lawn care, welder, truck driver/owner operator, just to name a few but most important job to him: Grandpa. 

Steve is survived by his children Kerri (Bobby) Fellers, Brian Fellers, Chris (Janell) Fellers, Tracy (Sean) Patterson, and step daughter Shawna Fiesterman. Grandchildren Jared (Ashley) Powers, Brennon and Nikolus Patterson, Melody and Steven Fellers, and Paige Barry. Brother Terry (Paula) Fellers, Foster family who took him and his family in as their own, mother, Leone ‘Lee’ Hartman, brother Aaron Hamilton, sister Donna Brown and many nieces and nephews who he loved very much. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Hemken, parents Alvin and Billie Jean (Joles) Fellers, brothers, Bob, Brian, and Dennis Fellers and foster father Donald Hamilton.

Services and reception will be held Thursday January 18th at 10 a.m. at the Heartland Community Church, 4907 10th St., Great Bend KS, with pastor Troy Miller presiding. The family asks to come to the service with any kind words, memories/stories, and pictures that you may have to share with us.
