TRACY, Calif. — Suzie Reed, 68, passed away Sunday, June 17 in Tracy, Calif. at Sutter Tracy Community Hospital. Mrs. Reed was a native of Great Bend. She moved to Pampa, Texas, living there from 1972 to 2002, eventually moving to Tracy, Calif., 1½ years ago to be closer to her daughter and family. She loved and enjoyed dogs and worked as a self-employed dog groomer for 40 years.
Mrs. Reed was a good cook who loved going to listen to music and dance at the Lolly Hanson Senior Center of Tracy, Calif., watching the old soap operas and she enjoyed trips to local casinos with family and friends. She loved the time spent with family and friends and will be greatly missed.
She was a former parishioner of Trinity Lutheran Church of Great Bend.
Survivors include a daughter, Jacquie Buckley (Bill) or Tracy, Calif.; siblings, Tom Miller (Beverly) of Fort Mojave, Ariz., Sandy Bowman (Les) of Lacrosse, Va., and Dixie Clarke (Don), Tim Miller (Cathy), Cindy Phillips (Loren), all of Great Bend; three grandchildren, Joshua, Bryan and Haley Huff of Tracy, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Gladson Reed, who passed away in 2004 and parents, Gottfried and Pearl Miller.
At her request, there will be no services. Interment will be at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Radium.
