Terry R. Cowley 1963-2014

NATOMA — Terry R. Cowley, 51, died Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the Hays Medical Center.
Terry was born Feb. 15, 1963, in Plainville, the son of Joe Donald and Betty (Mohler) Cowley.  
He graduated from Plainville High School. He married Michele Ward on June 29, 1985. They resided in Russell where he worked for King Of the Road. They were divorced in 1994.  He married Kathy S. “Kat” Starnes on Dec. 28, 2001, in Las Vegas, Nev.  
He worked for Masters Oil, LLC in Natoma, primarily as a truck driver but was also counted on as being a “jack of all trades,” helping out wherever he was needed.    
Surviving family include his wife, Kat; his mother, Betty Lawyer, Riverside, Calif.; a daughter, Meagan Eiland, Hays; brothers, Mike Cowley, Kingfisher, Okla.; Pat Cowley of Florida and Tom Cowley, Telluride, Colo.; a sister, Donna Jackman Endeavor, Wis.; Darla Jones, Plainville; and Suzanne Biscan, Norco, Calif.; and his stepmother, Mariann Cowley, Plainville, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his father, brothers David Eilers and Danny Cowley and sister Debbie Silvertooth.
A celebration of Terry’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Christian Church in Plainville with Paula Hachmeister officiating.  Burial will be at the Plainville Cemetery.  
Visitation is scheduled from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary in Russell, with family present from 6 to 7 p.m.  
Memorials may be given to the Terry Cowley Memorial Fund and sent in care of the mortuary.
