GARFIELD (Kan.)/PLANO, Texas — Tima McIlvain, 89, died Oct. 31 at Sunrise Assisted Living, Plano, Texas. She was born Nov. 11, 1920, in Great Bend, the daughter of William Alexander and Blanche Smith Nixon. A resident of Garfield for most of her life, she was a homemaker.
On July 22, 1946, she married John David McIlvain at Dodge City. He died February 25, 1976.
Survivors include a son, John H. McIlvain and wife Nancy, Plano, Texas; two grandsons, Brodie McIlvain and wife Hilary, Dallas, Texas, and Jamison McIlvain and wife Jenny, Onsala, Sweden; four great-grandchildren, Alice, Dallas, Texas, Saga, Alma and Elsa, all of Onsala, Sweden; and one sister, Louisa Passman, Wichita. She was preceded in death by a brother, William A. Nixon, and twin sister, Tava Hawes.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Morell Funeral Home, Larned, with Pastor Dennis Scheibmeier presiding. Inurnment will be at the Garfield Cemetery, Garfield.
