Viola Ruth Daubert, 94, died Nov. 5, 2015 at Locust Grove Village in La Crosse. She was born June 25, 1921 at the farm home southeast of Bazine, the daughter of Jacob and Eva (Brunz) Bruntz.
She married Clarence Raymond Daubert May 16, 1942 at Otis. He died Jan. 19, 1990.
A long-time Otis resident, Mrs. Daubert was a homemaker.
She was a member of Otis United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son, Ronald L. Daubert and his wife Shirley of Joplin, Mo; one daughter, Karen Miller and her husband Jim of Ruskin, Fla; daughter-in-law, Wilda Daubert of Wichita; one sister, Dorothy Schoenhals and her husband Harold of Perryton, Texas; two brothers, Sam Bruntz and his wife Esther of Bazine, and Ruben Bruntz of Watauga, Texas; stepsister, Dorothy Almquist of La Crosse; seven grandchildren, Todd Daubert, Mark Daubert, Troy Daubert, Travis Daubert, Jason Daubert, Richelle Rames and her husband Gordon, and Kristi Lehman and her husband Chris. Ten great-grandchildren, Sophia, Phillipe, Marc, Hannah, Drew, Kaleb, Olivia, Evan, Miya, and Megyn.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Richard Daubert and Marvin D. Daubert; two brothers, Ed Bruntz and John Bruntz; one sister, Rose Gumescheimer, and one half-sister, Ruby Bruntz.
Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 9, at Bryant Funeral Home in Great Bend, with Pastor Fred Miller and The Rev. Janice Farrell officiating. Interment will be at Otis Methodist Cemetery, Otis. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 3-5 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Otis United Methodist Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
