Wade LeRoy Meyer, 53, died Dec. 3 in Russell County.
Born Nov. 18, 1959 in Craig, Colo., he was the son of Russell and Mary Ann (Tate) Meyer. On March 3, 1980, he married Kayla Sova in Great Bend. He was a resident of Great Bend until 1986, then lived in Florida until moving back to Great Bend in 2011. He was a truck driver for Pat Salmon and Sons in Florida and worked for Petromark Drilling moving oil rigs after moving back to Great Bend.
Mr. Meyer was a member of the First Bible Baptist Church in Great Bend.
Survivors include his wife, Kayla Meyer, of the home; a son, Travis Meyer and his wife Melissa, Russell; a daughter, Angela Meyer, Denver, Colo.; two brothers, Mark Meyer, Port St. John, Fla., and Greg Meyer, Great Bend; six grandchildren, Austin Meyer and Autumn Meyer, of Russell, Andrea Meyer of Georgia, Allysa Bonaccorso of Rockledge, Fla., and Anthony Bonaccorso and Angelina Bonaccorso, of the home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Gina Meyer; and his best friend, Mike Adams.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at Bryant Funeral Home with the Rev. John Grummon officiating. Burial will be at the Great Bend Cemetery.
