LORRAINE — Walter George Cugler, 77, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 13th, at his home in Lorraine, Kan.

George was born Dec. 21, 1946, in Delmar, MD, to the late Clayton “Sarge” Cugler and Anna K Cugler.

George worked for 32 years for Dupont in Seaford, Del., retiring as a Plant Control Room Operator. He loved to fish and was known for being a Bass Master Pro, winning several bass tournaments up and down the East coast. He also enjoyed landscaping, hunting, and bullshitting with his buddies over morning coffee. 

He is survived by his son, Randall L. Cugler of Delmar, Del.; his daughter, Melissa L. (Bob) Varcados of Lorraine, Kan.; his sister, Mary F. Loscomb of Lorraine, Kan.; his grandchildren, Ashley B. (Matt) Beaver of Hoisington, Kan., Ronald S. Bennett III of Rehoboth, Del., Tiffany M.L. Baken of Loveland, Colo., Cynda Cugler of Seaford, Del., Kristin T. (Kolten) Palmer of Meeker, Colo.; and 16 great grand children. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his wife, Vicki L. Cugler; his son, Clayton D. Cugler; and his brother, Michael Cugler.

George will be greatly missed and all of his crazy “stories” will never be forgotten. He was truly one of a kind.
