GREAT BEND — Wanda N. Torrez, 84, died December 24, 2011 at the Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born July 31, 1927 at Alden, the daughter of Harry and LaVina (Gregory) Ritter.
She married Gerald D. Love Feb. 9, 1944 at Sylvia. They had three children and later divorced. She married Jesus Torrez in 1975 at Beaver, Okla. He died June 25, 2011.
She was a graduate of Sylvia High School. She was a waitress for Jamars Cafe, Ralph Wallace, and several other restaurants. Mrs. Torrez was a longtime Great Bend resident.
Survivors include a son Jack E. Love and wife Eileen, Great Bend; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Rodger D. Love; and a daughter, Bonnie L. Love-Powell.
A graveside service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28 at the Great Bend Cemetery with Pastor Don Paden officiating. Interment will be at the Great Bend Cemetery.
Visitation is scheduled from 1 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011 at Bryant Funeral Home    .
