Wilbur Dean Bell 1923-2013

Wilbur Dean Bell, 90, died Oct. 7 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.  Born Feb. 15, 1923 at Great Bend, he was the son of George W. and Alma (Fesser) Bell
Mr. Bell was a lifetime Great Bend resident.  On June 27, 1946, he married Mae Alice Marie Panzer at Great Bend.  She died Jan. 10, 1976.  He was an appliance serviceman for Sears and Roebuck for 30 years.  He was a member of First Christian Church and American Legion. He was an avid fisherman.
Survivors include two daughters, Connie M. Kerns and her husband Kenneth of Great Bend, and Jana Lilly and her husband Henry of Wichita, and one son, Steve Brown of Hot Springs, Ark.; one sister; Patricia Shadix of Shawnee, Okla.; three granddaughters:  Jaime Brown, Rhonda Weingrad, and Courtney Smith; and five great-grandchildren:  Ashley Weingrad, Autumn Weingrad, Jalen Brown, Jhani Brown, and Colin Ossman.  He was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Bell Reeves.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Oct. 10 at 1:30 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home with Rev. Dick Ogle officiating.  Inurnment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 9 at Bryant Funeral Home.  Memorials are suggested to Elder Care or Golden Belt Humane Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.  Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net
