William A. (Bill) Cohoon 1936 - 2016

JETMORE — William A. (Bill) Cohoon, 79, passed away Feb. 21, 2016, at his home in North Roscoe, Hodgeman County, Jetmore. Born May 28, 1936, at Hanston in his grandparent’s home, he was the son of Harry and Pauline Dixon Cohoon. On Oct. 27, 1956, he married Alice M. Habiger in Jetmore. She survives. He was a lifetime farmer/stockman in North Roscoe. His passion was farming and his love for his family.
Other survivors include a daughter, Paula (Jess) Lonnberg, of Jetmore; three granddaughters, Mandy (Luis) Paz and Melissa (Josh) Nuss, both of Jetmore and Megan (Tyler) Neff, of Park City; and five great-grandchildren, Cassidy Paz, Annie Paz, Emma Paz, Macy Nuss and Jase Nuss. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, James Cohoon.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at the United Methodist Church in Jetmore with Pastor Dennis Fulton presiding. Burial will be at the Fairmount Cemetery in Jetmore. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. pm Wednesday and Thursday. with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, at Beckwith Funeral Home in Jetmore. Memorials may be given to the Hodgeman County 4-H in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be left at www.beckwithfuneralhome.com.
