HOISINGTON — William Edmond Hobdy, 33, Hoisington, passed away July 23 in Omaha, Neb.
He was born Aug. 22, 1977 in Pascagoula, Miss. He was a pipe fitter in the construction business.
Survivors include his mother, Marcina Walley Doze and husband Denton, Hoisington; his father, William E. Hobdy Sr., Lucedale, Miss.; a daughter Courtney Hobdy and a son, Christopher Hobdy, who live in Hurley, Miss. with their mother, Beth Hobdy; his grandmothers, Florence M. Doze, Hoisington; Gladys Hobdy, Lucedale, Miss.; and Mabel Walley, Hurley, Miss.; three sisters, Emily Luikart and husband Chad, and Elizabeth Butler and husband David, all of Hurley, Miss. and Melissia Herren and husband John, Great Bend; a brother, Travis Doze and wife Kristin, Hoisington; and seven nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert L. Doze, Evans Hobdy and the Rev. Jett Walley.
A funeral service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 30, at the Hurley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerry Goff officiating. Interment will follow at the Hamilton Cemetery. Friends may visit from 6 p.m. Friday until service time Saturday at the church.
