TIMKEN — William L. “Billy” Besperat, 87, Timken, died Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016, at Locust Grove Village, La Crosse.
Mr. Besperat was born Aug. 27, 1928, in rural Timken, the son of William J. and Frances (Bulis) Besperat. He was a lifelong resident of Rush County. He was a farmer/rancher before his retirement. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Timken. On April 16, 1951, he married Louise M. Jacobs in La Crosse. She preceded him in death Sept. 4, 2011.
Survivors include, a son, Paul Besperat, (Valerie Besperat), Timken; three daughters, Lucille “Lucy” Besperat, (companion, Randy Schriner), Bison; Yvonne Schrader (Dr. Jerry Schrader), Great Bend; and Darlene Torrez (Joseph Torrez), Albert; five grandchildren, Phillip Besperat, Derby; Teresa Satterwhite (Dean Satterwhite), Pretty Prairie; Corey Torrez, Timken; Kelsey Kelly (Sean Kelly), Timken; and Captain Dustin Nordman (fiance, Amy Tilbury), Alamogordo, N.M.; and three great grandchildren, Jolie Satterwhite, Pretty Prairie; Waylon Satterwhite, Pretty Prairie; and Lincoln Kelly, Timken.
Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 7 p.m. A vigil service and rosary will be at 7 p.m. Church visitation will be from 9 to 9:50 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Timken.
Funeral service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Timken, with Father Matthew Kumi officiating. Interment will be in the Bohemian National Cemetery, Timken.
Memorials are suggested to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Timken; or the Bohemian National Cemetery, Timken.
