Wolfgang K. Haussler, 67, businessman in the Great Bend area for 40 years, died March 30 at Hospice House in Hutchinson. He was born Feb. 26, 1947, in Mannheim, Germany, to Karl Heinz and Elisabeth (Pielsticker) Haussler. He graduated in Cairo, N.Y. in 1965.
Wolfgang enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served a tour of duty in Vietnam in 1967.
He married Rhonda A. Ransom on June 20, 2009, in Shawnee, Okla. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Phaedra Link and husband Howard, Chesapeake, Va.; a son, William Haussler and wife Shayna, Gales Ferry, Conn.; and two grandsons, Brian and Alex Link, Chesapeake, Va. He was preceded in death by his parents and two wives, Anita and Linda.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service for family and friends is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Southern Baptist, Great Bend.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice House, Hutchinson.
