PENSACOLA, Fla. — Wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to many, Z. Lee Rouser, 85, passed from this earthly life to her eternal home on Nov. 6, 2015. She battled for 2 1/2 years against cancer and other health issues.
Lee was a friendly, cheerful soul who greeted everyone with a smile. She had a long life of being able to meet new people through her many jobs of Southwestern Bell telephone operator, President of Kansas Mothers of Twins Club, Avon Representative, President of the Library Board, Board Member of Kansas Sunflower Diversified Services, and Special Education Bus Driver. She enjoyed making quilts for the family, prayer shawls and beads with her church friends and spending time with family and friends.
Lee is survived by her husband, Duane Rouser; children and their spouses, Michele (Les), Dennis, and Denise (Tony); stepson, Steven; 12 grandchildren, Justin, Michael, Shannon, Kayla (Vince), Sr. Mary Agnes, Sr. Mary Emmanuelle, Marissa, Brandon, Zachary, Katrina, Isabella, Francis; and five great-grandchildren, Hagen, Leland, David, Joseph, Vincent. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Holland and Wallace Hays; two brothers, LeRoy McAulay and Douglas Hays; and her son, David Rouser.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, Nov. 16, at First United Methodist Church, 6 East Wright Street, Pensacola, Fla. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to ARC Gateway @ 3932 N. 10th Ave in Pensacola, FL 32503. This organization works with special needs persons, one of whom is their son, Dennis.
