To the editor:

Democrat President Joe Biden and his ilk (Vice President Kamala Harris, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters, etc.) continue advocating that there should be a mandate requiring Americans to get the COVID-19 vaccine. But the Biden Administration remains silent when it comes to allowing illegal immigrants to cross the United States’ southern border with Mexico without checking to see if they have taken the COVID-19 vaccine!

If you have been paying attention to what is going on at our southern border with Mexico, you have also seen that very few of these illegal immigrants are wearing masks nor practicing social distancing either. The next thing the Democrats will want a mandate for is blindfolds so Americans won’t be able to see how destructive their policies are! Juan Williams said, “The Democrats aren’t talking about ‘open borders.’ Just because the Democrats aren’t “talking about” it, doesn’t mean it (open borders) don’t exist. These illegal immigrants are also closely crowded together.  

During Trump’s presidency, the liberal Democrat media incorrectly showed pictures of how some of these illegal immigrants were inhumanely confined to cages. It was later proven that these pictures were actually taken during President Obama’s administration.

The southern border with Mexico, which allowed 212,000 illegal immigrants into the U.S. in July alone, may not be “open,” but it sure isn’t “closed,” either. These illegal immigrants aren’t just coming from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Nicaragua – but from over 100 countries.  Who knows if some COVID variant, in addition to the Delta and Lambda types, or some other contagious disease has been brought into our country since these illegals are not being appropriately checked at our southern border?
