Don't fall
Improve your attitude
Life on the Ark.jpg

Saturday, Sept. 23, marks the autumn equinox and the official first day of fall. But with Labor Day behind us, school is in full swing and the fall semester is upon us. Our students are busy with coursework and extracurricular activities such as attending sporting events and preparing for play tryouts. Homecoming is just a week away.

Soon it will be time to think about Halloween, raking leaves, and pumpkin spice. Rather than feeling weighed down by the changing season, use this time to shift gears and improve your attitude. Reset and get refreshed for fall.

Find the time to do something you’ve always wanted to do. Look for activities or groups where you might meet people with common interests. Not a joiner? Consider taking a class, reading a book or starting a project you’ve been putting off.

The hours of daylight may be shorter, but the cooler temperatures make this an ideal time for outdoor activity. The pool may be closed, but the parks are open. Put yourself out there!
