Band students performed well

Dear Editor,
To the USD 428 administrative staff and teachers:
The Golden Belt Community Concert Association recognizes you for your help in allowing us to sponsor the Dallas Brass and their educational outreach program for the band students.
To the band students:
What a great job you guys did Thursday afternoon and evening.
The Dallas Brass, (especially Mike their leader) were very impressed with your questions, responsiveness and in general your overall positive conduct.
To students and parents:
The evening concert came off better than expected. It is hard to polish and get everything right when there is limited time for practice.
The DB especially liked the percussion feature used to take the stage as they had not used that type of entrance before — but, I wanted to “show you guys off” —  I was especially impressed by how the band took the stage without having practiced that aspect of the show — and — I was more so impressed with your playing posture, uniformed appearance, horn position and how you responded to director Mike.
I have not seen that kind of total “positive attitude” in the past few years.
All parents should be proud that their children are involved in the educational adventure of school band participation.
Keep up the good things you all are doing — go Panther Band!
