Dear Editor,
I concur with Bruce Custers editorial regarding Karen LaPierres remarks about Governor Brownbacks power grab of the judicial branch, of the states government. The procedure for appointment of appellant court judges has been discussed and deliberated by the Kansas bar and judicial committees for years - long before Governor Brownback was elected.
Additionally, Ms. LaPierres notion that the Governors behind the scenes work was the reason several legislators weren’t re-elected, is ridicules. She should be reminded that the voters in this area are conservative and vote accordingly.
Besides being conservative, this area generally votes Republican, and it would seem the Tribune would better serve their readership by remembering the same - instead of electing to print articles that represent their own personal political views and ignoring those that don’t.
