Dear Editor,
Abraham Lincoln once described a good turn-out of a given situation thus: “It ripened into something more.”
To my mind that aptly describes the stewardship of Assistant Superintendent Dan Brungardt.
It has been Great Bend public school’s good fortune to have had Mr. Brungardt as a teacher who rose through the ranks to be Assistant Superintendent of Business and Operations. He has attended to school business-whatever the situation called for, and done the job well.
He has indeed “ripened into something more.” He is a genuine individual and Great Bend public education is the better because he was in our midst.
