Gratitude to first responders

Dear Editor,
One year ago on Sept. 15, my father was involved in a life threatening accident at Great Bend Industries. The car drive to Wichita after getting the call was the longest drive a person can make when you know that you may not hear good news once you arrive. We did get good news. While the past year has been full of recovery for my dad it at least has been a year with him. Myself and the family would like to extend our gratitude again to the first responders of GBI and the EMS team of the Great Bend Fire department that assisted that day. If it were not for their efforts that day we may not have had the pleasure of still having our dad, husband and grandfather with us. A special thank you to Bob Dalton-for I am told it was you that kept him from bleeding out at the scene until EMS arrived. You will never know how much you changed our lives by your choice to act so quickly and unselfishly. May all those involved be blessed by that days good act.
