Great Bend Military Moms gathering military addresses

Dear Editor,
The Great Bend Military Moms organization is once again in the process of gathering military mailing addresses for our next major shipment of care packages. We don’t care where they are from – if you know of someone who is currently serving in or near any of the war zone areas, (Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Africa, Qatar or any ships in these areas) please get their mailing addresses to me. They will be kept confidential, and will only be used for this purpose.
We’d also like to say a huge thank you to all who took part in the Military Monday celebration that was held in Jack Kilby Square, earlier this summer! To all of the businesses and organizations who made it happen, along with all of those who attended and made a donation to our cause -  Thank You!! It was a lovely evening, and I believe it is so important for all of us to remember those who are willing to volunteer to serve our wonderful country and fight for the cause of freedom, around the world. Please keep them in our thoughts and prayers! Our care package project would not be possible without the over-whelming and continuing community support we’ve received since our start in November of 2003! Because of you – we have shipped more than 5,500 boxes to those serving so far away from home!
This weekend, the 2015 Great Bend Airfest will give us another chance to remember and honor those who have served! Great Bend Military Moms will have a table set up in the building, showing a sample of what we send in our care packages – along with information about how to get names added to our next shipments.
