Dear Editor,
I would like to know why you can’t stand outside the fence at the Great Bend pool and watch someone swim. My daughter took my granddaughter swimming at the pool so I went to see if I could get a glimpse of her and maybe a picture or two and was told I wasn’t allowed to watch them swim. I have been watching my kids swim with no problems for years, but I guess it’s against the rules now. Yet the very first rule on the new website, greatbendpool.com, says if your under the influence of alcohol and drugs just pay the appropriate fees and I guess you can swim right along with our kids and grandkids. I don’t know who makes these stupid rules but they should let people watch their kids and grandkids swim if they want to. After all its our tax money that pays for it and it is a public park!
