Dear Editor,
Jack Hanna has cultivated his Jungle Jack persona, and made himself famous by exploiting the very animals he professes to care about. Schlepping newborn animals around the country to put on television talk shows certainly isnt in the animals interests. These animals must be crated up, handled excessively and then displayed before clapping, shouting crowds on soundstages and in auditoriums.
Taking animals on the road in traveling shows does nothing to showcase the natural behavior or intelligence of animals and has no positive affect whatsoever for animals in the wild. But removing infant animals from their mothers and subjecting them to the rigors of transport and the stress of an alien media environment speaks volumes about Hannas desire for the spotlight.
