According to the Holy Scriptures found in the Bible, there are only two types of human beings inhabiting this planet we call earth.
Human beings are not classified by race or nationality. They are not typecast by gender or sexual preference. They are not ranked by social or economic status. They are not positioned by their educational level or degree. They are not separated by their religious affiliation. And they are not identified by their political registration.
According to Gods Word a human being either has the Spirit of Christ in them or they do not. If they do not have the Spirit of Christ they have the spirit of sin in them.  Those with the spirit of sin are separated from God because they are indwelt by or possessed by sin.
In Romans 8:9 Gods Word says, But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them are not Christians at all.)
In John 3:18 of Gods Word it says, Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of Gods one and only Son.
Reasoning this through one should understand that there is a problem with the natural human beings nature. By nature we are objects of Gods wrath. We are separated from God by our sin nature and our sinful actions. We have all fallen short of Gods glory and deserve to be eternally punished for not seeking Gods way of being transformed into new creatures with the Holy Spirit indwelling us.
Jesus said in John 3:3, I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.
This new birth is the answer to the human predicament. If a person is not born the second time, a spiritual birth, they will experience the second death.
The second death is referred to four times in Gods Word. Revelation 21:8 says, But cowards who turn away from me, and unbelievers, and the corrupt, and murderers, and the immoral, and those who practice witchcraft, and idol worshipers, and all liars, their doom is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. This is the second death.
The second death is the eternal separation from God. There is no turning back from this destination. If you havent come to believe in Gods one and only Son by the time you experience your physical death from this world, you will experience the second death.
Im writing this to make sure you understand the importance of coming to faith, trusting and believing what God has done for you in Jesus work on the cross.
God so loved humans that He gave His son as a replacement offering for the punishment we deserve. He desires that we escape the second death but we must come to Him in the way He has called us to come. If we refuse we continue to prove that we are living in rebellion against God. We are still in our sin.
