Dear Editor:

Dale Hogg’s photo and coverage of the City Council meeting in the Tuesday Tribune was excellent. The picture of Police Chief Cliff Couch captured the essence of the important meeting. To his credit, Chief Couch looked the part of a leader, but the chief should be commended for the courage and forthrightness of his cause. Under difficult physical and crowded conditions, the chief addressed an overflow audience with an articulate program.
The chief’s presentation was fair and easy to follow.
To my mind, Great Bend is fortunate to have landed the chief to lead our police force. He is young and eager to lead, educate and rally this community’s local law enforcement.
Thanks and keep it up! It took courage and preparation to do your program and Great Bend is the better for your leadership.
