Dear editor,
So, Mr. Couch has resigned.
He had made serious charges of malfeasance in office and misuse of public funds. A few of his supporters have smeared the reputation of some of our city leaders. Our community has been split. People have been hurt. All this over a disgruntled personnel issue that was turned political.
Questions remain. Why did Mr. Couch delay his appeal hearing? Did he know that his charges couldn’t be proved? Did he realize if that was the outcome he would have had to leave anyway? Was it worth it?
