Dear Editor,
I want to thank everyone for their concern about me during our recent snow storm. I had telephone problems and no one could call me to check on me.
A big thank you to my friends at the Barton County Health Department (Lily Akings and her crew), and to Dean Akings (Chief of Police) who personally traipsed through 12” of snow and drifts to check on me.
Great Bend is a great place to live. I have lived here 78 years and raised two wonderful children.
