Dear Editor,
On behalf of all the volunteers at the Golden Belt Humane Society Adopt-a-Pet Program, I want to thank everyone, from the bottom of my heart, that gave of their time, their talents, and volunteered to make all of the amazing home made goodies for our bake sale on Saturday. I also want to thank Walmart for allowing us to have our sale there. It was such a huge success! We not only made enough money to pay for Cooper’s surgery, but it will also allow us to pay for many sprays and neuters, and vaccinations for fur babies at the shelter. Most of all, thank you to the many, many people that braved the weather to support us. Without all of your support, none of this would be possible. We have a very giving community. And it shows that together, we are saving lives of the discarded animals at the shelter, one life at a time. We have our adopt-a-pet and fundraisers, the first Saturday of the month at Orscheln’s and many people support us every month. Thank you for that. Also thanks to the Tribune and Eagle Radio for promoting our events. Come see us Saturday!
