Dear Editor,
The organizers of Shoot for No Malaria  would like to thank everyone who helped with the free throw shootout Sunday, April 14th. We appreciated USD 428 for the use of the Panther Activity Center and their equipment. A big thank you goes to the members of the Barton womens and mens basketball teams who helped with the event. The volunteers from Trinity United Methodist and First United Methodist were a blessing for giving up their Sunday afternoon. We are thankful to Veronica Coons and the Great Bend Tribune for their excellent coverage of this event. Thanks, too, to Eagle Radio for advertising for us. But most of all, we thank our participants and their generous donors for making this a successful fundraiser for Imagine No Malaria, a project to eliminate malaria by purchasing treated mosquito nets and educating people in under-developed nations where malaria is still a killer.
