Dear Editor,
Christina Stein is an intelligent, enthusiastic young lady running for state representative in the 112th district.
Not having a lot of campaign money, she had to use a lot of old fashion hard work like door-to-door and phone contacts to communicate her message. This example of dedication indicates that she will work hard to represent Great Bend and Barton County well in the legislature.
Her experience working in USD 428 has given her insight to improve education, the key to the future. She also wants to expand employment opportunities that will encourage bright young folks to stay in Barton County to work after graduation. Of course she recognizes the economy and energy as other important issues that must be addressed in the next legislative session.
It is time we elect a representative that is objective and open to working cooperatively on new ideas to improve Barton County and the state of Kansas rather than an incumbent indebted to political powers and old ideas.
And yes it is time that we finally have a woman representing the 112th, something that has not occurred before.
So, please get out and vote for Christina Stein on Nov. 2. One vote can make a difference!
