Dear Editor,
Christina Stein offers energetic, informed leadership to the people of Barton County. After graduating from college with a degree in social work, Christina moved to Barton County to seek her American dream. She took her first job with St. Francis Academy, and continues to work helping children as a substitute teacher and as as a juvenile intake worker.
Christina was raised in a blue collar family. She was among the first in her family to get a college degree. Christina lives in a working class neighborhood at 907 Stone. She believes good jobs at good wages are the foundation of a good economy.
So many politicians claim to be fiscally conservative, yet they blow tons of money on their campaigns. Christina is running a low-budget campaign. It doesn’t cost anything to knock on peoples’ doors. Christina has already listened to thousands of voters. She is very energetic, and very informed because she listens to voters.
As someone in her late 20s, she is concerned about where Barton County will be 25 and 50 years from now. She supports good schools, roads and jobs for Barton County.
Christina has only been out of college a few years, but in her time in Barton County she has volunteered her time for Big Brothers-Big Sisters, Meals on Wheels, and Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Christina was raised in a town of 2,000 people, and grew up fishing and hunting. She has an AQ rating from the National Rifle Association. If Barton County can get more young people to choose Barton County as a place to live and work, we will succeed.
I can’t wait to vote for Christina for state representative in the 112th District. The American dream can thrive again in Barton County with energetic, informed leadership.
Marty Keenan,
Great Bend
