Pawnee County helped Salvation Army
Public Forum.jpg

Dear editor,

Thanks to the generosity of people in Pawnee County, the December 2018 Salvation Army Fund Drive raised $5,659.84! These funds will serve Pawnee County residents this year with expenses for utilities, clothing, household items, travel, medical care, educational supplies, and other needs.

A big “Thank You!” to the pastors and members from the Larned and Garfield churches and the Pawnee Heights School KAY Club students who served as greeters/bell ringers at the Salvation Army kettle at Dillons; the dozen businesses in Rozel, Burdett and Larned who hosted collection buckets; and those who chose to mail in donations using envelopes placed in the newspaper.

Particular thanks to Dillons Manager Angela Foltz and her staff, bankers Bob Haymaker and Jack Smades, Becky Martin at Farmers Bank and Trust, and The Tiller. The Ministerial Association of Pawnee County sponsors the Drive.

Again, thank you.
