To the editor:

I want to praise the volunteers who set up the Golden Belt Humane Society garage sale this past weekend. It is the mother of all garage sales and takes a village to make it happen.

Thank you also to the donors who brought their items to sell. What an awesome way to give back.

The volunteers work tirelessly the week prior to get things unloaded then set up in an organized way. It is truly amazing to see it all come together.

If you want to volunteer next October, contact the Humane Society. Any and all help is appreciated. Actually, if you want to volunteer your time and talent, there are plenty of jobs throughout the year. The need is real. I’m speaking for the animals who want and need your support every day.
