Dreams come true CKDC a plus for county

The Central KS Dream Center is, well, a dream come true for those in the county who the people caught in the cycle of poverty, abuse, and homelessness that need extensive help but that help is unavailable in many situations.
There is a reason that these cycles are generational and tend to be passed from parent to child. These cycles are extremely difficult to break because habits, shortcomings, learned behaviors and attitudes all have to be relearned and changed.
For those raised in loving, healthy homes, where productive habits were learned and taught, these difficulties are hard to understand.
But, as anyone who knows as an adult, trying to change minor habit such as chewing one’s fingernails can be daunting. Just imagine trying to change an entire lifestyle.
The Dream Center is a six month program at no cost to the client. At no cost.
Those who complete the program will end with lives enriched, and the end of the generational cycles of dysfunction.
What a tremendous benefit to the community and to the individuals!
It is exactly these types of programs that can help eliminate some of the mental illness in this country, some of which result in the horrific shootings.
Barton County is on the forefront with the Dream Center. It is the only one in the state of Kansas.
The program will need donations and the support of the entire county, but will provide a more healthy productive community. It is win-win for everybody.
