An incident going on in California — surprise! — has turned into a near-perfect example of what many anti-statists believe is wrong with America.
The forces of bigger government there have found yet another way to worm themselves into the daily lives of their residents, and they present it in such a way that you actually feel guilty if you oppose them. But oppose we must.
As the Associated Press reported this week: “West Hollywood has approved an ordinance that bans the sale of fur clothing, becoming what is believed to be the first U.S. city to enact such a law.
“The precedent-setting ordinance received final approval early Tuesday.
“The ban would affect sales of clothing made from the skin or pelt of animals with hair, wool or fur.
“The city has yet to decide what the penalties may be for violators. Officials also want to study the potential impact of a ban, which is opposed by some retailers.”
No!
Who’d have thunk?
Someone could possibly be opposed?
Opposed to the state goose-stepping into citizens lives over such an issue?
Understand, today they are shutting down commerce.
You are deluded if you try to convince yourself that they will not be walking into your home tomorrow. If you think they won’t kick in your door to get your can of tuna, you are nuts.
Look, this is all really simple.
America needs SMALLER government.
We can’t continue to afford the bloated mess we have been stuck with.
We must dismantle it, whether the West Hollywoodionions can understand that or not.
Otherwise it’s only a matter of time before THEY are at your door.
