Barton Community College right-handed pitcher Nick Ney, a Great Bend native, recorded a win from the mound in a baseball game against Kansas Wesleyan Junior Varsity on Tuesday at Lawson-Biggs Field.
The Cougars, 29-21 overall, 11-17 in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Western Division play, beat the Coyotes 17-4.
Barton scored in every inning, including six in the bottom of the fourth, to enact the run-rule after seven.
Barton travels to Hesston today for a nine-inning game starting at 6:30 p.m.
The Cougars host Jayhawk West doubleheaders against Garden City on Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday’s games begin at 1 p.m. with “Pack the Park” festivities beginning at noon.
