Barton Community College claimed three selections on the All-NJCAA Region VI volleyball teams.
“I was really proud of all the girls and how we finished the season,” Barton head coach Andrea Rasmussen said. “These were three people we relied on heavily in the last four or five weeks.”
Sophomore middle blocker Isabel Valdez was Barton’s only first-team selection.
She finished the season with 242 kills and 75 blocks.
Sophomore Taylor Middleton, also a middle blocker, finished with a team-leading 122 blocks and 247 kills. She was a second-team selection.
McKenzie Piland, a freshman outside-hitter-turned-setter, finished with 873 assists. She made the honorable mention list.
The Lady Cougars finished the season 15-20, getting bumped from the postseason by No. 17-ranked Hutchinson in the Region VI championship match last Sunday at Newman University in Wichita.
